Without Ron Weasley, there would be no Harry Potter. He is a crucial part of the HP universe and definitely to funniest of the trio. He is valued and adored by his friends, his brothers, his sister and parents and we should give him much more credit for simply being Ron, so here are 8 times where Ron Weasley was awesome!
When he introduced him to Harry on the train, starting the whole adventure off. Who knows how the story would have ended, if Ron hadn't entered the compartment and talked to Harry. Well, I am sure at least Harry's children are tremendously grateful, as we can all assume he would have never found Ginny to be his true love.
The door of the compartment slid open and the youngest redheaded boy came in. "Anyone sitting there?" he asked, pointing at the seat opposite Harry. "Everywhere else is full."
When he attempted to jinx Draco Malfoy upon the latter calling Hermione a "mud-blood". We all remember the cringe-worthy scene in which he start puking snails due to his backfiring wand, but, hey, the thought is what counts, right?
This might be slightly controversial, but I loved how he stood up for Scabbers against Crookshanks, even if we know Crookshanks turned out to be right about Scabbers; however, Ron didn't know and his instinct to defend his little pet is nothing but admirable.
When he had the maturity to apologise to Harry after ostracising him when he got elected Triwizard Champion. We all know how hard it is to swallow pride and many friendships, I am sure, have shattered because one party wasn't willing to admit they were wrong. Ron, however, had the strength and saying "sorry" is as courageous as fighting a dragon in some ways...
When he gave Dobby the maroon jumper he always gets from his mum for Christmas and Dobby couldn't be happier about it. It proves how Ron, is his occasional rudeness and insensitivity, is a guy with a heart of gold and one of the best people.
When he studied in the library day and night to find a solution for poor Buckbeak to be beheaded. We all know the library isn't a place where you can usually find Ron too much, but for Buckbeak he buckled up and did the best he could to help.
When he wanted to warn the Hogwarts house-elves during the Battle of Hogwarts, so they could flee before the Death Eaters could kill them.
When he carried Hermione to Shell Cottage after she had been tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange at Malfoy Manor. Hermione usually isn't one for rescue missions, but this time she needed someone to help and Ron was there, always loyal and eager to help the true love of his life and for that, we can only love him .
